OK, I read this book along time ago. It was an 'Old Wives Tales' Book. These are the only 2 that I remember and the first one has always been right:
Stick your hand out infront of you!!!!!!!
----do it before you read the answer or it doesn't work----------------
if your palm is up, its a girl, if your palm is down, its a boy.
And the other one is if you crave pickles its a boy, icecream is a girl.
There's also a thing about a string over your bellybutton. Tie something to the end of it to make a weight, if the pendelum swing in circles its a girl in a straight line any direction is a boy.
Anyway, I like to go by the heartbeat also. Lower (120) is a boy, higher (160) is a girl. Hope it helps.

No. Lots of old wives tales but nothing that is true. Your OB can't tell except for the sonogram.

Take the age you were when you got pregnant and add the month that you conceived (not the month you found out you were pregnant). Even is a girl and uneven is a boy. It worked for both of my kids. e.g 32 years of age plus 6 (June) = 38 = girl.

its not 100% accurate but its fun. Go to google.com type in 'is it a boy or a girl?' and its like the 4th or the 5th link down its a chinese calendar that askes you for your age and what month you concived. It told me im having a boy and I am. It also worked for a friend of mine. Good luck and congrats

you are going to get tons of responses to this....anyway I believe the tale that if you are carrying a female child it will be really out front and a male child you carry it mostly in the back in other words it not such a protruding pregnancy...and it came true for me and I had the most beautiful son.

to be for certian you need the OB to tell ya....
but there are a bunch of fun ways to try and guess what your having.. try some baby sites for some ideas to try.

not really - there is some home test now - very recent - that you can fin dout very early if its a boy or girl but I don't know if it works. Check the chinese calendar. It works for everyone I know!

You're likely to hear a bunch of old wives' tales, like "if you're carrying it low it's a boy" or other such nonsense. These folk methods do no better than random guessing at determining the sex of your baby. :)

Nope. You have to have an ultra sound done to find out because that is the only way to look inside and see what it is with out harming the baby or you.
