they left a bag of candy on our doorstep with a picture of a ghost on it and some saying. i don't remember what the saying was though. any ideas?

I don't think this is a prank. Are you new to the neighborhood? You may have been 'Booed."
My brother and his family have been "Booed"
My girlfriend and her family were "Booed"
They were new to their neighborhoods and this is a fun way to welcome them to the neighborhood. The basket had candy and goodies and ghost sign. They were to put the sign in their window so other neighbors knew they had been "Booed."
Then, the next neighbor to come into the neighborhood is theirs to "Boo."
The saying may have been "You have been 'Booed.' Welcome to the neighborhood!

If that was a prank,maybe it was a hint to stock up on candy,leave your porch light on, and answer the door when the little beggars come a callin'.

get a bag(halloween) of candy and put **** underneth of the candy in the bag and leave it on their door step..but put lik 3 bags but only one with sh*t so it wont seem odd...LOL

Just put some dog poop in it and catch it on fire. Old trick but always funny.
