Heating the glass raises the energy level of the glass, this causes molecular agitation and loosens the bonds between the glass molecules. The glass atom electrons jump to a higher energy level and then drop back down to a lower energy level, which causes a photon to be emitted, thus the glass changes color to an orange glow..

Heat increases the motility of molecules, which are allowed to roam more of less freely. Cool a liquid and the molecules tangled up, and bind to one another. The same stuff happens with every materal that melts, except that glass is not a cristalline solid like most other pure materials (glass is an amorphous solid).

Because heating is used for making a glass hard.

Heating speeds up the motion of the atoms in the glass, so that they lose a little cohesion and become more like a fluid.

chemically speaking, the glass is made up of atoms that are bonded to each other.. so if the glass material is exposed to excessive heat, the bond breaks and due to weak bonds, becomes soft.

glass is fluid... heating it causes the glass molecules to move faster thus making it soft... just like melting an ice cube...

heat is what is used to form the glass into its shapes and designs

It's subatomic properties are changed from solid to liquid. Liquid glass is much more malleable than a solid.
