(4/(x + 1)) - (1/(x - 1)) = (2/((x - 1)(x + 1)))

multiply everything by (x + 1)(x - 1)

4(x - 1) - (x + 1) = 2
4x - 4 - x - 1 = 2
3x - 5 = 2
3x = 7
x = (7/3)

ANS : (7/3)
