Horses need yearly vaccs and test like Coggins......some states you aren't allowed to take your horse out anywhere without the Coggins papers.....

Our horses have a yearly check up with the vet for their vaccinations, coggins test and having their teeth checked and floated. We get our wormer from the vet, they have to be wormed every 6-8 weeks but we do this ourselves. A farrier can take care of the shoes and hoof care. Other than the yearly check up our horses only see the vet if there is an illness or injury. When choosing a vet a good farm vet is the best as they are better at making house calls and don't hesitate to ask them for some references to ask about their services if they are good they won't hesitate to give them.

Twice a year for vacs, then just when they're sick or hurt. It's nice to board somewhere, then when someone else calls out the vet you can split the ranch call fee if you have a little something you'd like checked. Where are you? Vets only travel so far...

I have horses. I do their vaccinations and worming myself. I only have the vet out when something is wrong with them.
I can't recommend a vet since I have no idea where you live.

I don't own any horses but one of my best friends owns a stable and she told me that you should have a vet look at the horses one or two times a year, or if you notice any signs of illness.

I'm not sure about horses. My cat's need to be taken to the vet once in a year for check ups, but since horses are larger animals, they may need more doctor visits. I hope this helps and I also hope your horsey is well. Give it a kiss from me. =)

Um i dont know per say but i think you should let the vet come out evey 4-6 months. But if you think there is a problem i think you should call your vet right away. SO yea.

You should do it yearly. I dont own any but I have worked with many. You would also need to do it when the horse gets sick and or are wishin to breed it. And so on and so forth with the same circumstances....
