Nothing you can do unless you have witnesses. Even then, he/she does not have to honor that verbal agreement on wages and housing.

Oh yes - these are tough - sad to say there is nothing you can do besides not work for the employer. This kind of behaviour is indicative of their working practices. You should politely voice your disappointment to the employer and move on. And next time get it in writing. Email works great in these situations, b/c you can have the same type of conversation over the phone, in person, or in email.

don't think you can do something about it besides you can't prove/you don't have the proof to that "verbal agreement" to support what ever you're going to complain against the new changes...so next time better have a black and white agreement...learn from this.

If you do not have it in writing, or on tape, there is no contract.
