With addition of Kubina- a defenceman who can put up the points also helping the offensive.
Gill- who can shoot the puck pretty well from the line.
Peca- a good defensive forward who can win face-offs and good checking.
Raycroft- Getting back into shape and proving something to others after a disappointing season last year with Boston.
Maurice- determined coach who will give it all he has to see the Leafs make it into the playoffs even if it is 8th spot.

last year we only missed the playoffs by 2 pts and finished 9th, with addition to these other well talented players are sundin and wellwood who has gone from the rookies to the top line with sundin.

Yeah, we've got some new additions adn our young guys are really stepping up. Steen, Wellwood, Suglobov. Sundin's going to perform even better because now some of the pressure's off him. I think we're going to make the playoffs, probably as the seventh seed. I don't really think we can get far into the playoffs though. I say second-round exit at the most, but you never know. If Edmonton can make the the Cup finals......

You make a good case for the Maple Leafs playoff hopes. But the Northeast is probably toughest division in the East competition wise. They'll get to play like Ottowa, Montreal, Buffalo and Boston a lot. All things considered I'm guessing it's 50/50. They'lll probably finish the season between 7 and 9 in the Eastern Conference.

No, they are no better off than they were last season. And as far as you asking Habitant how many preseason games did his team win? Doesn't matter. Preseason doesn't mean squat. You can win 'em all, so what? They dont count, the team is not playing their regular players in most of the games, they are giving the young guns a chance to show their stuff. And if Kubina doesn't quit playing nasty he'll be getting suspended all the time. He's already going to miss the season opener for the dirty shot he gave Hudler.

Boycotting video games gained't do all of us any good. Do you imagine the only reason a crew performs properly is for the great thing about folk contained in the stands? If human beings taking off boycotting video games the crew would fall down. they don't choose boycotting, they choose help and their fan's staying power. communities go by stages, no crew is nice each and each 12 months. communities would have 4 or 5 years devoid of making the playoffs, then possibly an 8 12 months stretch of second round appearances, and then fall down again. i don't think of they are going to make the playoffs, yet any authentic fan would not care about that as a lot as they care about gazing a crew artwork flat out, boost, and play good sturdy hockey. no matter if the adult adult males are not experienced adequate to win video games, a good attempt is all any authentic fan can ask for.

ummm NO! They might have added a little more depth this summer but even with a injury-free season they won't tallie up the points.

Oh yeah, if you ask a question, you're looking for our opinions. Don't fire back just because you disagreed with someone. And btw, don't forget that the Leafs didn't even make the playoffs last year and they haven't won the cup in like 40 years, whereas Montreal won just 13 years ago. Check your stats before you criticize.

Good research and reasoning but you're like the typical Leaf fan listing reasons why they should be good and win the cup, but that's all on paper and the game is on the ice. The only good thing in your list is Peca too bad he's playing in Toronto.
Y'all will end up same as usual each year. LOSERS again, another 39yrs of waiting is a b*tch isn't it?

I sure hope so, 40 years of frustration is enough!

I think they will this year, just because of the coaching, which looks like it will be alto better.
Do they have enough good players right now is the big question. They future looks good but don't think fans or management can wait a couple of years. Think GM will be gone my Christmas.
