But guns aren't the problem right? If this nut couldn't get hold of a gun he would have murdered people with his fists right?

When are people gonna wake up and realize that more guns mean more murders and more suicides?

What you say is sensible, but I think guns are only half the problem. Other countries have guns too, but our gun deaths are astronomical in comparison. I don't know what that other half is, but a good first step would be to NOT have a shotgun and .22 caliber pistol in your home where your trouble making teen can have access to it. That's just stupid. Parents need to stay involved in their kids' lives.

Ever notice that mass shootings always happen in places where the criminal knows that everyone will be disarmed and helpless? Bad guys will always have guns. Ban them and they'll just come in with the cocaine shipments: gun bans only disarm law abiding people.

The US response to school shootings has been to ban guns at school. The shootings have continued. When Israel had a series of terrorist school shootings their response was to train and arm the teachers. The shootings stopped.

Suicides? There's never been a study which linked the number of guns available to the number of suicides anywhere. Take away the guns and the suicidal will just use other methods. There will never be a shortage of high places to jump from.

Yes, there is a pattern. It occurs when the Republicans are getting bad pblicity

The pedophile problem of Foley was beginning to get too much news coverage. Had it continued, there was a possibility of the whole Franklin cover-up rearing its ugly head again, and revealing that most of the senior politicians are pedophiles, as a result of their initiation into the New World Order through organisations like the Skull and Bones.
So there was a need for something else to hit the headlines.
Therefore an MK-ULTRA mind-control victim, like the one who shot John Lennon, was wheeled out, did his job, and was disposed of so that no questions could be asked.
So the main cause is the CIA, the same people who created and performed 9/11.

When are parents going to wake up and realize that they can't let their children spend their youth watching violence on TV and at the movies, and playing with violent computer games. These kids don't know anything else. Any psychiatrist will tell you that these children become acclimated to this sickness.

We HAVE to learn to live with firearms, to respect them, and to use them properly. Our soldiers overseas are dying because they haven't lived with firearms and learned to use them like the enemy has. This can't be fully taught in a short basic training course. Just look at some of the really successful military firearms users in American history, Sgt. Alvin York, Audie Murphy, and Marine sniper Carlos Hathcock (93 confirmed kills and probably closer to 350). They were all "country boys", who ate what they shot, growing up. They weren't violent people, because they knew what it means to draw blood, and they didn't have anything to "prove" to their peers.

We should have more restrictions on who gets guns. Of course people could find a way around it, but it would keep us that much safer. Guns are meant to protect not kill.
