Endorse the check twice. First as your maiden name and then under it, write: For deposit only to the checking account of:

Mary J. New Name.

Have you changed your name on you Driver's Licence? Do you have a checking account? I know the bank where I work at does not cash checks if your name does not match your ID and you do not bank with us. The best thing I can suggest is that if you have a checking account just deposit it into your account or your spouse's they might put a hold on it to verify that the funds are actually there.

Sign the check using the name on the check. Then sign again using your correct name. If you're cashing the check, bring a copy of your marriage certificate. Its probably easier to deposit it - you would still sign it the same way.

So then human beings won't get to renowned her and quite decide her via her call. There has additionally been korean wars that's undesirable. perhaps a guy or woman hates the rustic a lot because of the fact of a few conflict, that she could additionally be in possibility. Diamond in basic terms sounds like a strippers call or some prostitue, that is like naming your youngster candy, or cherry or some extraordinary call like that. They the two are extremely poor names. If she have been to be named Korea Diamond, she could in all probability legally replace it as quickly as achievable. So please do no longer call your baby that, for her sake!

since your bank knows your new name and its documented, sign the back of your check as it is written and sign underneath as it should be written (your new name) this is what i had to, i also showed verification via marriage document to the bank. if you are still unsure, ask the bank what to do or ask the person who wrote the check to reissue one with your married name good luck!

Just take your marriage license and show this with your Driver's License to them. They will tell you the best way to endorse the check.

Congrats!

Do you still have your old ID? How long have you been a member at your bank, they will still do it because your old name is still in your records. If that won't do, just take your marriage license with you it has your old and new name. I hyphenated my name just for this reason.

Endorse the back of the check to yourself (Write "pay to the order of" followed by your 'new' name) and then sign it with your new name and write "nee" followed by your old name.

And congratulations!

you should be fine....just endorse it with you previous name, and again with your new name....even better if you still had your old Drivers license.
