My high school reunion is coming up, and I am not sure if I want to attend.
I was never involved in anything, no pep squads, no sports clubs., I was just a little punk back, besides the girl friends and the few people, I got in trouble with, no one would ever remember me.

But I am actually torn between attending and not attending, I am not sure what is driving me to this tug of war.

What do you guys think, Should I go to this?

If you don't go, you'll miss it.
If you do go, you may see someone you knew.

The worst that could happen if you don't go is that everyone you knew back then will show up and wonder where you are. The worst that could happen if you do go is that you'll be bored and have to leave early.

If it is a $2,000 airplane ticket and your child is playing in a championship soccer / football / basketball game that weekend, skip it. If all you have to do is drive across town and pay for a ticket, go.

I just attended my 20 year reunion and I hesitated to go as well. I have to tell you that I had a complete blast and even reunited with an old male classmate and had a pretty darn fun weekend.

Do you keep in contact with anyone from high school? I did have a couple of friends who went with me so I didn't have to show up alone.

I think that you should go. If you are different now than you were back in high school then you can show everyone how much different you are. If you are the same, then show them that you haven't changed. When everyone gets out of high school a lot of people don't talk to the people that they used to hang out with. You can meet up with people that you never talked to before and make new friends.
You should go and have fun and not care what everyone thinks about you. I think you will regret not going in the future.

I am not going to my reunion. I graduated in 82. I was in clubs but not a popular person. Those people did not give a crap about me then or since then...I am not going back now!

How do you know people wont remember you? how about your little punk band am sure people listened to you and may remember you. If you dont go you dont know what your missing out on and will always wonder what it was like - and if you go and its rubbish you can always leave.

Yes, invite some friends that you still have from your high school, and catch up with some people. Just take a chance, you might have fun!
