We ALL wake up each day with choices to make... We all choose exactly where we are and how we handle life's situations.
You have two choices each morning right away... Do you want a good day or a bad day... Its all up to you...

This is one of those topics that people could talk about forever and still never agree on a single answer. My way of thinking on this one is that we all have choices available and the ability to change most things in our lives but there are times when circumstances limit or take away our ability to make choice.
I used to believe in fate but years of waiting for life to lead me in the right direction has taught me that if you leave life to chance, you will never get where you want to - you have to take charge and go for the things you want because they don't just drop into your lap (unless you are very lucky and happen to be in the right place at the right time). But even luck is influenced by personal choice, for example, you may dream of being a pop star and one day just bump in to a leading music agent and be signed a top record deal, but if you didn't choose to walk down that particular road at that exact time, whilst singing at the top of your lungs in the most beautiful voice you ever have, then would you have got that deal?
Then there are the times when choice is not available, like (and sorry to take such a sinister turn here) when a young child gets physically, emotionally or sexually abused - where is their choice there? You may say they can fight back or run away, but what if they are too small to stand a chance or fear freezes them to the spot or their self esteem has been so badly affected that they no longer believe they are capable or worthy of changing their situation?
To summarise, I believe that we are born in to life with different circumstances, some which we can change, some which we can't but all we can do is keep fighting to make the best of the hand we are dealt, which means: staying positive, living each day as if were your last, being the best person you can possibly be, always being on the look out for opportunities and making the most of everything and everyone you love in your life.

We have a lot of choices in our life. Unfortunately our eyes are trained to register only a few. There are many ways to get out of this conditioning and to reach the position where the eyes are widely open.
Seeing the things what they really are allows us to widen our scope of choice. This is the genuine purpose of seeing. If you are persistent one, Alfred Adler’s book What Life Could Mean to You can give you a standards how to widen your eyes. Assure time, quiet isolated space for consideration of your past experience distant from your family members, friends and relatives. The choices will spring before you (more then you can anticipate). Happiness is waiting for you, but it comes through some effort, nothing is on the Earth for free.

Of course you have choices. However, with choices come consequences. Some are positive; some are negative.
When a person makes a bad choice, he/she often doesn't want to accept the responsibility for having made that bad choice. He/she blames the negative consequences on everyone but his/herself.
Many people make choices without gathering all the information needed to make a good decision. That's sad.
But, yes, we do have choices in life. If we choose not to make them, then fie on us.

We have choice in life, but I also believe in destiny and all our future is written the moment we were born. The day we were born all the major events in our live has been destined but this does not change the fact that we still can change them...you can guess that humans are very predictable.. to make it more clear for you watch the movie "Back to the future"!

I beleive that we are born to a particular set of circumstanses and a particualr type of personality that LIMITS our freedom of choice. Within those parameters, we are free to choose options. This is true of every person. To illustrate: the Prince of Wales is free to marry the woman he loves; but the circumstances of is birth (crown prince to a throne) dictate that he marry only a certain kind of woman - or risk losing his place in the succession.
I am offered a choice of either grilled fish or grilled seak for dinner. I am free to choose either one, but something in me which I cannot control is revolted at the smell of cooked meat - I can't help it, I just do not like red meat... in this instance, I am free to choose either but my choice is limited becuase of my own personality

there is choices everywhere in life, just bare in mind that every choice that you make will have its consequences, either good or bad.As for the ' take it as it comes ' way of living, its one thing saying it,but once again the decisions that you make are primordial in the development of self.

of course we have a choice.
we should all know that everything that happened to us in life, we should be responsible for it. we have the right and power to take what we want. so far we want it.
