I attended a few lessons in two different gyms - both were very high on cardio work and both focused on working the calf muscles and alot of hamstring stretching.
be sure to bring some tape for your feet if its your first time and your training on a wood floor. i enjoyed the classes - v hard workout dont forget your gum shield.

get ready for pain and bruising. whether or not ur female they arent allowed to take it easy on you. but get ready for possible broken bones at sparring. my friend just spared his teacher recently in a tae kwon do match and my friend slipped and broke his leg. and i do see a lot of bruises on his legs and stuff. ohh also get ready for people cheating while sparring. if u can't handle taking a punch u shouldnt be there in the first place.

My advice.... invest in plenty of ice packs and get used to having every muscle in your body ache for months.... if this doesnt happen, then your not doin somethin right or your not applyin yourself enough.
