Tampons carry a lot of health risks, as well as other issues, I personally would not let my daughters use tampons either – I wouldn't forbid them using tampons however I would educate them enough on their bodies so they are educated enough not to want to use tampons to begin with.

Back in the "dark ages" it was taught that only non-virgins wore tampons. Some women still believe that. Another problem is Toxic Shock Syndrom that concern women these days. You can't change how your aunt is bringing up her daughter. When she gets older she will decide for herself what she wants to wear during her period. It isn't harmful to wear napkins so no harm done.

Somehow I'm finding this a rather ignorant posting. What difference does it make to you and how does this come under the heading of scared?? Gad the dumb stuff on here is unreal.

Your aunt is raising her daughter as she believes. Tampon usage carries risk and I wouldn't blame her at all for having her daughter use sanitary napkins until she is more mature.

well its her mom and you need to stay out of it and im sure she will when she is a couple years older because sometimes your vigina is really small when you first get your period and it is unhealthy for young people to wear them compared to older women. im not supposed to but i do so if she really wants to she will
