ok ok I got it...
They are gonna say that America was deeply devided along all kinds of lines- social, economic, blah blah, and we were falling apart as a country. Then here he comes ...THE UNITER. Everybody in the country felt like one big happy family again (unless of course you were of middle eastern descent) and we all got along so that we could defeat THE EVIL-DOER who knocked over the big buildings. He let big business grow and grow making a healthy economy (for india and china) and proved that the trickle-down down theory of economics really works (my bank balance keeps tricklin' right on down).
Then, he built the great wall of Mexico, which was to keep the illegal alien undocumented terrorist migrant farm workers out, and all of our Nucular families safe from the bad guys and suiciders.
And they lived happily ever after....

I think all countries rewrite their history a little. For example, Japanese history books for schools do not really address the horrors committed by Japanese army. As for Bush, of who I am not a huge fan of either, it is most likely he will be remember in forty years as a President that had snatched defeat in out of the hands of victory. I know that some people believe he is a very good president but history will show that he drove the country to the brink which I am not sure we can ever come back from. He has changed the world's view about America from naive, friendly, sometimes overbearing to as polled by many people in our allied countries "the greatest threat to peace in the world". Amazing that it is America that is most feared not Iran or North Korea. Not the legacy that most presidents want but it is one that the American people will have to pay for years to come.

I don't know if it will come to outright fabrication. I seem to remember that Cleveland or Taft or somebody was involved in some kind of corruption. Teapot Dome Scandal? I'll go look it up in a minute.
Anyway, maybe the best we can hope for is that everybody will be kind of vague on what exactly he did or didn't do. Which I can dig, because I imagine that being relegated to obscurity would gall old dubya pretty badly.

I don't know what history books you are reading? the ones I have seen in the last few years were written by some anti American liberals who have tried to deplict America as the lowest of the heap. I know american politicians have screwed up a lot of things mostly by selling their votes to the highest paying lobbiest, with no thoughts of the consequences to theirchildren or future generations ,
tho, don't you feel America has did most things right? yes we do have reason to complain, and to desire better reprentation by our fearless comrad leaers, But, don't you think we are as citizens are to share the blame since we elected them? how many people try to find out the voting record of our representives
most people watch the Jewish owned T,V, stations and read the Jewish owned news papers who own most of our representives, including G,W,B, I for one believe Israel is our worst enemy, so do many high ranking military , if you do some research you will find Israel has given some of our top secrets to Russia during the cold war, and the largest body of communist rallied in Israel during the 70s,I personallly feel the professors and writers who try to down grade America should be deported to where ever they feel is the best place for them, I would bet my last penny all would change their tune , why don't our professors and writers try to write and teach the good parts of America and try to help change the things that are not so good?? or is it easier to look at the bad and forget the good?? and as far as bush is concerned, the professionals who made Carter, L,B,J, and Kennedy look good will surely succeed in making G,W, look good , I don't know how but they are pros you know,

The only reference to bush should be his dishonesty and cunning, as I believe he is a cold blooded murderer, all those people in the towers were Americans. I think he is a greedy murderer who thought we would just believe his lies like stupid followers, guess what George? Not a chance in hell we know what you did and you are going to stand trial for it. We THE PEOPLE are not going to stop until the truth comes out . there are alot of us all over don't make a mistake we are watching. We will not stop until you leave our country the one you tried to steal from us with your patriot act. Homeland security my ***. you are finished.

They slant the history to look good in international issues. In domestic issues, I think they tend to be more accurate. But I agree, history will look as us and ask "how did this circus clown get elected?"

Wow, they still teach history in school? From what I've seen from public schools it seems they teach nothing but how to feel good about your low performance grades and building self-esteem classes.
