Copycat crimes are the worst, especially when perpetrated against children.

It is a horrible tragedy. Why are some people so violent and cruel?

Charles Carl Roberts IV was 32. If an incident occurred 20 years ago he would have been 12 years old. He let the boys go free and the pregnant women or those with infants. So I speculated that maybe he was rejected by a girl when he was 12 but reports say that he had molested children at that time and dreamed of doing it again. In addition, he was angry at God because his daughter had died.

Who can understand what drove him to do what he did? Who can understand a pervert's mind??

While visiting Delaware State I met a number Amish folk and found them kindly and harmless, so I can't imagine what even a deranged person could have against them. From what I know of them they will be forgiving.

I cant understand it, Amish people seem so nice, they wouldn't hurt a fly, why would anyone want to hurt them, unless they are also Amish?

I feel for the children. The lack of any emotion in their eyes was the first thing that struck me. How will they come to terms of realising the world outside of their own little world is the harsh reality of life. Poor wee mites.

It's times like this that I question religious beliefs...any religious beliefs.

It tears me up inside to think of what those poor children went through. The terror they must have felt. And then to have this demented man shoot them in the head, execution style. Now his family and their families have to live with this. It is another tragedy that didn't have to happen. My heart goes out to the families of the children and to the shooters family. I have no sympathy for him, but I do have sympathy for his family. May our heavenly Father comfort all those affected by this tragedy. Amen.

It's tragic.
The Amish are such lovely and peaceful people,it's hurtful to think how devastating this will be to them as they live in a society so different to ours.
