People like you and I, though mortal of course like everyone else, do not grow old no matter how long we live... [We] never cease to stand like curious children before the great mystery into which we were born." -- Albert Einstein

Al knew a thing or two about a thing or two. And when I the quote it made me think of this one by Jean Paul (a German author), for some reason:

"Every man regards his own life as the New Year's Eve of time."

I'd say that for a supposedly clever chap, Einstein could be a complete flake at times.

I can categorically assure anybody who asks that I do, indeed, grow old. I have the silver streaks and engraved lines to prove it. And as I have grown older such curiosity as ever I had has faded in to a simple acceptance of universal uncertainty.

I no longer ask.

I no longer wonder.

Einstein was wrong.
