I'm a 23 year old female and I would like to create a men's website in which I promote myself such as a little modeling. a friend told me that I can make some easy money just by simply having my own website and also having a good amount of people view my page. is that true? also do anyone know some info on creating thier own web?

I have been a webmaster since 97 and with some success. These days there are thousands of websites out there that cover just about every subject known to man. I owned and operated a large adult website in 2000 and yes I made some $$ with it. I currently own a webhosting company and I make $$ with it as well.
Was it easy? Yes and no.
First you need to start with a clean and easy to navigate design. If you are unfamiliar with coding, hiring a designer is the best way to go.
Second, you will need a payment gateway. The easiest is Paypal.
Third, You will need content (ie pictures, movies, etc).
Fourth, you will need to promote that website. Just submitting it to search engines is not enough. Search engines will only count for less than 10% of your quality traffic. The reason for this is because there will be so many other sites ahead of you in the search engine. This is where knowledge of keywords and SE spidering come in handy. You could also do some link exchanges with other websites.
If this is going to be an adult website there are other ways to generate high traffic very rapidly. I would prefer not to discuss those tactics here as not to offend others.

I started my own website too! It is at www.freewebs.com/iguanadance. Freewebs is easy access and with a lot of viewers you can receive profits. Start by setting up a website and eventually you can change the websites name to not have freewebs in it. Also, you can choose from a great selection of music and backgrounds to create web pages.

if your site really get lots of hits then you can really make money out of it. I use google adsense. The pay for every click on the adds they put on my site. Yahoo also have one but i dont know.. To get lots of attraction, u have to make a catchy and good websites.. Dont make the tree websites (Where all the text are center-aligned and look awfully like a christmas tree) Try coffeecup.com for free cool website templates..

If you really want to create your own website, go to www.godaddy.com - you can buy a domain and they will host it for cheap. However, do you really want to degrade yourself by promoting your "modelling" on a website?

you would need someone to make your website for you if you are wanting to have a monthly members system. Or just contact some other "modeling site"...lol
