I read that one too, just recently. I vaccumed during my first pregnancy and no harm done. Besides if I have to wait for my husband to do it for me, I will have dust bunnies knee deep. lol

If you suffer from placenta previa (the placenta is under the fetus...blocking the birth canal) then ANY kind of activity is NOT recommended~ I actually had my doctor write my hubby a note...I joked with him about doing housework while giving birth..Hubby read the note and did the vaccumning for the next few months...

As long as you are still comfortable, it is fine. My husband is never home (work and school), so I am the only one that vacuums around my house.

I've vacuumed so far and im 7 months, nothing has happened. If you are struggling pushing it back and forth ont do it, but if you have no problem it's fine

its an old wife's tale, it is harmless to the baby, sometimes it might stop there movement, but that's probably because you have put baby asleep, lol... good luck and happy vacuuming

it's definitely safe!! would'nt it be wonderful if you could get away without vacuming for a whole nine months,, know your own body and don't do anything that feels uncomfortable or hurts and you should be fine

Yeah, that sounds a good excuse. My mum raised two children in Britain during the blitz in WW II, and worked until she "dropped". Stop being so soft. Excercise is good for you.
