Can I import my own DVD's into itunes?

I would love to stick Dr Zhivago on my ipod - particularly for long train journeys. But I itunes won't let me.

How do I go about importing a DVD into itunes please?

Import it as MP3, iTunes preferances will allow that.

yes but you have to convert them to the ipod format to be able to put it onto your ipod
