Period was due Sept. 20 started metformin for diabetes Sept. 5 also some walking for exercise in driveway no period and it is Oct. 2 got a preg test from Dollar store took it around 2or 3 in afternoon about a week ago and it was neg. still no period what should I do am I or am I not?
Plz Help I do want kids
Also have PCOS but have been reg. w/o bc pills since May until now

it could be a result of takin metformin.Or it just could be that ur hormon levels are 2 low try taking a test again if it comes back neg again then make a doctors appointment.Just cause u have PCOS does not mean u can get preg.I have PCOS and i have a son and now preg with second baby

It hasn't actually been proved that metformin alone can induce ovulation in women with PCO's but a combination of clomid & metformin have been effective to produce ovulation and subsiquent pregancies.So by using it for your diabetes may not have the desired effect on your ovulation.
The preg test may be a false negative,I've had a few of those!,I think you may need to get a better brand of test from a drug store or better still go to the ob/gyn and get a blood test.

The best time to take a pregnancy test is in the morning when you first wake up.
Your medication may stop or delay your period. Try another pregnancy test. If it is still negative, you probably are not.

You have to take the test first pee in the morning where your hormones levels are the highest to get a good test done properly. Go to the doc and get a blood test.

like always when you start new meds it can through your period out of wack but go to the doctor the test done there is much more accurate then one from the dollar store

Save yourself some time, money & us confusion & jsut go to the doctor. We aren't psychic so we cannot tell if you're pregnant or not.
