ive just downloaded this new windows live messenger, and its a lot different to my other msn that i had. ive noticed it has quite a few diff features too, but ive read a few things about it on the net, which are putting me off...
any one care to share their opinions/experiences about it? id rather people tell me themselves, rather than offer me a link to a site thanks.
i also cant seem to see others display pics in the main window, is this normal? and different ppls convo windows arnt seperate colours anymore? is this just a normal result of the new messenger?
oooh so many questions. hope someone can offer their help! =)

i also noticed i can change peoples display names by giving them nicknames, will they be able to see ive done this?
and is there anything else they may be aware i am doing?
sorry, its new, i just dont understand it!

i recently signed up to the new window messenger and i havent had problems with it. yes its different but give it time a you get used to it. as for the question in regards to dispaly pics is the option ticked on the options page and u havent clicked the hide button have you coz i did that the other day and didnt know what i had done., hope this helps

I think its pretty good the only thing I don't like is that it deos not show how many un opened messages are in my junk email box so I tend to forget to look and sometimes there may be a good mail thatis there by mistake.
If I get the meaning of your question about pictures - you should see a line in blue that says show pictures or show contents in the main window. if you click on this each time a message shows in the window it will be visible within a second.

yes completely normal with the new system as for the pictures for your contacts if you go into the tools menu and then selct display you should be ale to bring it up also dont worry nobody knows what yo nickname them it is there so you can remember who you are talking to as the network is so vast hope it settles your questions

i have it, and yes its very different but its great, it has a lot more options and is visually a lot better! I havent had any problems with messenger, have had a lot of problems with beta tho
