We want the best for our kids, we recently started them in music lessons, one wants to play the electric guitar and the other the keyboard, but is there any organizations that help with something like this, I know there are scholarships for college, and I am to a point of wanting to stop that is $40 a week that we just barely can afford. Our kids are 12 and 13 and they are in the band at school, but the guitar and keyboard are not instruments offered to them.

Check with your local school board or department of education. Sometimes there are private scholarships through the schools of music in your area, or there might be a community based organization that will assist.

You might try your local symphony. They often have programs for music lessons and may know of organizations designed to help with the cost.

I believe children should be taught by example. You can preach all day long but if your children are watching you doing different, then that's where the questions start. Love compassion and understanding and forgiveness should be first on the list. But we must also exemplify these traits to our growing future. We are the teachers to our young.
