Okay, I am 36 weeks pregnant and I have been having lots of issues. Yesterday I thought I was leaking because I would feel little air bubbles and then a little wet afterwards. However it was only when I set in certain positions. I was also having BH really strongly and back pain. I called the hospital and they told me not to worry because the BH were getting closer or stronger and that I probably wasnt leaking because it was only certain positions. Well today I am having the BH again strong and the air bubbles right after with a little wetness. I feel like something is wrong but they told me not to come in because they would just send me home. I am still having sharp little pains in my pelvic area like he is scratching out and they get so bad sometimes I cant even move. When I went to the bathroom I couldnt even bend slightly to wipe it was so painful. I had spotting the other day and I went to the doc. they said I was thinning out and softening. Has anyone experienced this?

You could have a tear up high, which would make your water leak only in a certain position. If you feel something is wrong, go to the hospital. Boy have nurses changed since my last baby, they always said, come in and get checked, but we will probably have to sent you home, never did I hear just don't come in, it sounds like they don't want to work!LOL
Anyway, if you really feel that something is going on, and if you feel that your water is leaking you need to get to the hospital. Your baby is prone to infection once your water breaks, so I wouldn't take the chance. The worst they can do is tell you that your not leaking!
With my first baby I went to the hospital twice before I finally delivered. I would rather know everything was ok than sit at home and worry that it isn't.
Good luck with your delivery!!

I know you are calling L/D but you need to call your doctor also and I would go anyway! If you are leaking there is no way to know when your water will fully break if it does break before active labor. I am 35 weeks and I have been experiencing what I believe is leakage, and my BH's are everyday but never to the point of the pain you are feeling. Here is what my doctor told me as a rule of thumb- if a contraction takes your breath away, it's an actual contraction and NOT a BH, so when you go tell them you are having real contractions not BH's. I think they are telling you not to come becuase you are saying they are BH's and they probably arent. Even if you spend the night and they send you home-- oh well, better to be checked and sent home than to sit at home and something happens. Go to the hospital, if you cant walk or talk through a contraction go to the hospital....

Some OB/GYN people think they know what they are talking about. I havent had this case, but when i was in labor with my first child, they told me i wasnt in labor and not to come in.....cause my water didnt break. Well my water never broke but i went in couple hours later cause it sure as hell wasnt getting better and i KNEW that i was in labor. They kept telling me i wasnt. Well, 10 hours total labor, i had my first baby boy. And they told me i wasnt in labor.....
Get a second opinion from someone or somewhere else. I wouldnt wait, not for a second.

Dear Ethan's Mum
Let's hope the hospital know what they're saying.
But you still need to talk to someone for reassurance and information.
Phone your Dr's, and ask to speak to someone. Phone the midwifes' ,phone your health worker , you shouldn't be left to worry like this .
Wishing you all ,all the best.

well it sounds to me like your body is preparing for labor you need not worry if the doctor tells you to wait. your 36 weeks things are going to be like that until the baby is ready to come out.
good luck

I experienced something similar a week before my son was born. But everyone is different. My advice- make sure your bags are packed and everything is in place. Congrats!

I'VE NEVER HAD THAT TO HAPPEN TO ME WITH THE AIR BUBBLES, BUT I WILL SAY THAT IT'S GETTING CLOSE FOR YOU. WHEN MY WATER WAS LEAKING IT ONLY CAME OUT WHEN I LEANED IN CERTAIN POSITIONS AS WELL. SO GET READY AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU WITH A HEALTHY BABY. BESTWISHES

You need to make your OB see you, you could get a uterine infection that could kill your baby, if you are leaking fluid that means your sac is ruptured somewhere regardless of what they say.
I personally would go in & make them give me a test to see if amniotic fluid is present.
Good luck & remember you are your child's only advocate.
