I live in the suburbs of Chicago. It's okay living out here. Midwesterners are generally more pleasant to deal with than people from the Northeast or East, but the weather really stinks. This area gets bitter cold in the winter and hot and humid in the summer. On the upside, Chicago has tons of stuff to do-great theater, great museums, great restaurants and great architecture. Housing prices are all over the place-some areas are affordable, some not so much. Some world class universities are here, too (University of Chicago and Northwestern Univ). There are jobs in the Chicago area, but it mainly depends on what you're looking to do for a living. There are lots of banking and finance jobs, lots of IT jobs, and of course, always lots of construction and service industry jobs.

I live in the SF Bay Area. It's a great place to live, but very expensive. My husband is a software engineer and he had a great job here before we moved. I wouldn't recommend coming here with little money and no job, may not survive.

Western New York...yes I like it (except the taxes are high), it's very beautiful here and I like the seasons (especially autumn)....it's not a bad place to live; people are friendly, food is fabulous (this is the home of the chicken wing!), housing is reasonable and plentiful. Are there jobs?? well, there's where it gets a little tricky. It all depends on what you do...medical professional, yes.

I live in Hell...Pardon me, Utah. The only things that I like about Utah are the Mountains, the fishing, and my family. You should only move here if you are a moron...Pardon me again, Mormon. There are plenty of jobs, but only if you can live off the Federal Minimum wage. If I wasn't stuck here, I'd move to Massachusetts.
