I am not at all overweight, I'm pretty thin really, but I'm interested in modeling and would like to be the skinniest that I can be without being unhealthy or underweight. What can I do (WITHOUT STARVING MYSELF!!) to slim down?

Eat healthy and work out...you will go down to your natural weight and that's where you should be. The days of "Twiggy" style models is coming to an end. For starters, Spain has banned runway models that do not minimum height-weight ratios. The most beautiful women are curvy, not stick figures - look at Jennifer Lopez, Scarlet Johansen, Jessica Biel, Salma Hayek, Jessica Simpson, Monica Belucci, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Carmen Electra, Beyonce', Christina Aguilara, and even back in the day Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, and Raquel Welch...would you rather look like them or Nicole Richie?

Stop it right now. What is wrong with you girls? I am so disgusted with this "I have to be skinny". First of all it is far from attractive. Second it is very dangerous. If you have watched the news a few countries in Europe no longer want skinny models on their runways. My daughter was anorexic since the age of 12 and very shortly afterwards she always had one ailment after the other. The main one being gynecological. There is a slim change she will ever be able to have a child due to all of this.

Good, I'm glad you DON'T starve yourself! The trick is to just eat really healthy and do moderate exercise at least 20 mins a day. It has worked for me for at least 15 years. I love that everyone thinks of me as skinny----AND healthy looking.
One more thing that I'd like to add is in order to have flat abs you must use them any time you bend to pick up something, when you get out of a seat or anything that the average person tends to use his/her's back muscles for. I discovered this a couple of years ago when learning to kayak and I am now much stronger with flat abs and, saying yay to no "pouchy tummy"!!!

I f ur already thin, u can be a model. in fact, if ur average, u can be a graet model too, just not a SUPERmodel like tyra banks. but if ur already thin, then please dont diet.

If u wanna be a supermodel u have to be at least 5 '9"
if u wanna be a model, being just skinny is enough.
but are u good at posing?
smiling?
are u confident?
do u look confident?

do u consider urself attractive or at least average?

Work out at lot and eat more health food.Running is the best for getting in shape. Please don't become one of those girls who believe they're fat when their not even close. Your health is more important then living up to so impossible standard of beauty. If you are considering being a model then you're already beautiful enough.

What is in vogue for models to keep skinny these days....in recent years in was heroin,....maybe cocaine?

Why don't you just stay at the healthy weight you are now and not mess up your body and its metabolism?

Exercise, and keep your calorie intake the same. Or don't exercise and eat low-calorie foods. How much do you weigh? Or what's your BMI? Talk to your doctor before thinning down. I'm 5'7" 105 lbs. and my doctor would freak if I lost weight.
