sorry bout the half Q. got distracted by my mob. As i was asking....
If the English do badly then they are British.
However the Irish are Irish good or bad, and the Welsh are Welsh good or bad. So why the difference when it come to the North/South divide. Is it because the English dont like it when us Scots do something well? And the English hate it when they do something badly, that much that they want to become a nation rather than a country. They should be a nation or a country. I have never had much time for English history so if i'm wrong in this, tough.
Scotland - Telephone, Television, Football, Golf & Penicilan. Straight away you have 5 of the worlds most used products.
England - Like i said never paid much attention to their acheiments, but cant think of any off hand. Anyone care to enlighten me? Sorry i have 1 - 1966 - wow

Some people need to get over this.
I'm Welsh and happy to be Welsh or British it makes no difference to me. My boyfriend is English and happy to be English or British. I couldn't really give a toss. As long as I'm not American!
I have no idea about Scottish people only being called Scottish when they do badly and I think I smell paranoia here. If you want to be British then be British - if you want to be Scottish then be Scottish, just stop whining about tit. You Scots spend so much time crowing about how wonderful you are and how shite England is that I'm surprised you could leave anyone in any DOUBT that you're "Scottish".

The English have no diversity and anyway, they really are disliked in most parts of the world and are known as stuck up and pompous and as i have been told by a lot of different Nationalities are there any English left in England. And yes i am Scottish and proud of it.
And a Country that likes the likes of David and Victoria Beckham and class them as heroes, well what more can i say!!!.

Scotlands position in the united kingdom has been very positive to both England and Scotland. As you rightly say, there might want to were no British Empire if it wasn't for the Scottish. i imagine that many (yet through no skill all) Scottish Nationalists try to fake that Scotland might want to nevertheless play a significant position on the international level if it grew to develop into autonomous. regrettably, this isn't the case. England might want to be spared the downgrade because of London.

nope, the English are English always, except when they are not given the choice on the scottish controlled government forms!! lol!! Are you Scottish then? you dont seem too bothered about Wales and Ireland...........and lets be honest, the only people who keep on about all this are the Scottish people. I grew up in land that used to belong to Scotland but ended up as England so I have heard it all!! I just wish we could all be happy with who we are and then we wouldnt be so concerned with others. Its mainly only the press who use the British thing when they choose anyway.

I am proud of being Scottish and I'm proud of being British. There are English idiots and there are plenty of Scottish ones too - just make sure you don't help elect them and then we wouldn't have to listen to this tired old argument.
Forgotten the Welsh? Yes me too.

ps I'm from Wales and I really couldn't care less about being Welsh, English, Scottish, British. We're all from Planet Earth, as far I can tell anyway. Why do people have such a hangup about needing to be labelled?
