To do ball joints on this vehicle you have to remove the spindle to gain access to the joints. They are pressed in. While your there I would advise checking your axle joints (a slide hammer is useful here) if it's a 4x4. It's a tough job. good luck.

You have to take out the snap rings because they're probably holding the ball joint in place. I never changed them on Dodge but Chevy has a collar you have to remove and then hammer and punch drive them out.
Best bet is a trip to your local auto parts store and invest in a Chilton's or Hayes repair manual for that vehicle. Worth it's weight in gold- especially right now!

I never tried this as this job require a ball joint press I think it is not an easy job. I am guessing you are tired of the squeaking sound the 90's Ram's did

On tie rods, use a pickle fork.
On control arms, ball joint press.

By the way, if you're doing the control arms, and it's got coil springs, you're going to kill somebody unless you have the spring secured, and pre-compressed.!!

to do it correctly you need to have them pressed out and in.
