Before answering your question I must reply to snizzlebo comments.
Only few example will nullify his claims.
Who is responsible for killing lacs of innocent people in Nagasaki and Hiroshima ?
Who is responsible for destroying Iraq and killing lacs of Iraqis ?
Who is responsible for demolishing Afghanistan ?
Who is responsible for leaving no choice to the muslims but to take arms in countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pelistine etc.
What did you do in Chechniya and Bosnia Where lacs of mulims were massacred ?
There is no point blaiming muslims only.
My Question to such people is that why suddenly the Muslims took to the arms after disintigration of USSR ?
Now for the question of Mr surook. Every thing has its reason and so does the terrorism.
What will you suggest to a person who is cornered and alienated by the others by destroying his home, killing his children, abusing his religion, his voice unheard, coining him as uncultured.etc..etc..?
Is there nothing like state terrorism ?
Terrorism will not be going to stop unless persons like snizzlebo
analyse what are the reasons of everincreasing terrorism.
Let us be united to find out the reasons since catching/ killing few terrorists will not end terrorism. We have to understand eachother.
For Gods sake come together to stop this menace.

Harmless people are meant to be run over. Only the strong survive. The best way to fight it, is not to be harmless. Exactly what about the current spade of news stories makes you believe that terrorism blamed on religion is on the rise? Have you already forgotten the IRA?

I do not blame the politicians for this dirty disease that destroyed the fair name of a religion. It is the attitude of some misplaced religious persons who are imbued with wrong notions about religion. When they say God is the greatest, they want to ground the edifices of culture and civilisation of the world to earth and to destroy the whole mankind. You cannot remove humanity from God and religion. Destruction cannot be perpetrated in the name of God. God is the creator and preserver. They are definitely the evil forces stalking the earth. The whole humanity need to rise up to the challenge and call their bluff.

two part answer:
In 2000 the cia noted 175 instances of what they call, "considerable terrorist threats", in 2005 the number was 675. This to me suggests the current administration is at fault.
Second the 32% of Americans who trust our president, only exist because they are frightened and feel the Bush administration will protect them. This is what we call leadership by fear. Expect to hear accusations of insurgency from Iran to scare people into supporting an invasion. Anyone who actually cares enough to educate themselves will see the "insurgents", are women and children throwing rocks and getting beaten and even shot. NO I DIDN'T GO TO SOME ANTI-WAR SITE. I CARE ENOUGH TO INVESTIGATE FOR MYSELF!

It's their way of ushering in the New World Order police state. We're just a bunch of useless eaters to them. They want to get rid of as many of us as they can. That's why they're trying to start world war 3, which will involve nuclear weapons. The survivors will be implanted with a micro-chip. The situation looks grim at best.

This is good for Muslims. They were believing all the lies of their clerics in the name of religion. Now they are wakingup and are realising the way to resolve differences in a civilised manner.

All politicians trash each other. I don't believe one of them. It's all personal motivations. Terrorists give muslims bad name. They aren't muslims or they wouldn't be killing muslim women and children. Every religion has it's nuts, unfortunately, muslim nations harbor the most
