I was....and I mean was lol a track star....played every sport there was and excelled in them all...and had No problem getting a date.
Now...older.....a little over weight.....yes starting to get a bald spot....hey grass don't grow on a busy street ya know lol....but I am still confident. I guess its because I know what I was....and yes sometimes my mind writes a cheque that my body cant cash....but what the hell lol
I still have this bad habit of defending women....if we...my wife and I are somewhere and I see someone not treating a lady right...like pushing her or hitting her...and it has happened a couple of times....I will react....and not in a nice way. That's when I can feel me old body sayin....Ummm....hey you....WHAT THE HELL are you doing! lol
But so far so good....I think its all how you feel about yourself....but I guess one day my mind and body will be on the same track...till then.....Lets rock! LOL
Guess that's why I love that song...I am not as good as I once was....but I am as good once as I was. *G*

You are not being mean. As a young person you must be curious about what it will be like one day for yourself and your future partner - and be warned, middle age arrives sooner than you expect! So, a serious answer...
It's a fact of physiology that we can't keep our youthful looks and physique for ever. Although, as they enter middle and late middle age, some people seem to delay the onset of looking old, others can be ancient-looking in their thirties!
But the secret to handling the passing of the years is to be self assured (without being arrogant), to be considerate, to be sensitive to the feelings of others (no matter what their ages), and to maintain a generally positive outlook on life. By adopting that approach you make people feel at ease and comfortable in your company. In turn this helps you to feel good about yourself. Thus your own confidence can become even greater as you grow older - irrespective of thinning hair and thickening waistline!
The stud bit is a bit more difficult. Most men, as long as they are not suffering from a health problem, are still capable of performing, though often with less vigour than when they were young. However, the rampant youth of 18 does not stay that way, and as he matures he often becomes a more considerate and tender lover. This will certainly please his wife/gf, because, unlike the selfish young man of old, he now thinks as much about his partner's satisfaction as his own.
The qualities of kindness, tenderness and consideration (i.e, a partner's personality) will still be there even when their physical attributes have faded. So remember that when that when you are looking for a life partner!
I can't speak for 'middle age soccer mums' but I'm sure they'll tell you something similar.

The portly frame may be graying but the minds eye still views the world as a much younger man would.
I'm sure there are plenty of people who have a mental attitude much older than their years.
Its natures balance.

What happens yo your body, is pretty much up to you. Take care of yourself and you can still be a stud. If one takes care of oneself you can still look good at 60+.

I think it all depends upon the individual. If they were materialistic or they were just out going. I think that character never leaves you regardless what you looked like in high school. However, Denial is not just a river in Egypt..
