i try but i really only end up part way and mostly guiding after i wake up from a dream i can usually go back to it and have better control. i would rather not tell you what i have been working on lately, hehehe:)
concentration is key i found listening to music and associating a song with a feeling etc really helps.

I used to be able to, back when I kept a dream diary. If you think about dreaming before you go to sleep and try to write them down in the morning your dreams will probably become more vivid and lucid over time.
That can be a bit dangerous though - I've had plenty of dreams that were a vast improvement on my real life. You may not want to wake up.

Yes, but only in about 1 out of 20 dreams, and only for the last couple of years.
Suddenly I have the realization that I'm in a dream, usually when something awful has happened and I just think - "yeah, but it doesn't matter because I'm dreaming!"
Usually this thought wakes you up with a jolt, but in a lucid dream, for some reason (confidence brought on by advancing years? I dunno...), it doesn't...
Then I just turn around and start to explore - it's fantastic!

I have direct control over the content of my dreams.
I always tell people my dreams as exciting, colorful, and fantastic. That's why I love to sleep.
Lucid Dreams are very rare for most people.

I can lucid dream, I also dream in colour, full-sensory and experience translocation during dreams.

Apparently it has to do with your mother's side of the family; it also apparently skips a generation.

Full-sensory is fun if you are dreaming of being in a candy-store where everything is free, translocation is interesting as it's essentially going to a specific place created in your mind – perhaps slightly pathetic translocation in my dreams takes me to somewhere that looks like something from Lord of the Rings or Narnia.

Yes, I can actually. I can't decide what to dream about, but when I am in a dream I am very aware of it and can guide it to where I want to go i.e. I can escape, get the man of my dreams etc...

(Jadea) Does everybody not dream in colour surely if everything was black & white you'd realise you were dreaming. I have half woke up sometimes and thought you must be dreaming that's stupid but got on with it. I also suffer from sleep paraylisis where your aware of everything want to wake up but can't move - not good!!

Sometimes I can guide the outcome of my dreams...it doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it is pretty cool ;)
