ok one of my best friends is named sam (a guy). we have been really cool with each other for about 5 weeks.. and now im starting to notice some feelings i have for him. hes atheletic and handsome.. smart and funny.. i dont see any flaws really. sometimes he acts like he likes me back by looking at me wierd or such. but i dont know for sure. and i want to tell him my feelings without the chances of ruining our blossoming friendship.. what should i do?

I always say I am IN LOVE, but I know Im not...especially with guys thatar hot and all that other stuff. Its probably infatuation...even if you for sure like him saying "I LOVE YOU" could totally scare him off. Just spend some alone time together as friends, but make little moves to let him know..."It's okay to kiss me if you want to." Like, invite him over to watch movies at your house (if you can) I find I always make out when those are the plans. If he likes you back it wont take much.
Oh and dont get too caught up in the "no flaws" thing b/c he has them and you dont wan to be surprised when you find them out.

Been there done that and got hurt too. I told a guy friend of mine years ago and he said that we were just friends and then he dated a girlfriend of mine later. I say you have several options 1. Tell him how you feel straight out and see what he says. 2. Write him a letter stating you love him and the reasons why and wait for his response. 3. Send him some flowers with a note from you. 4. Spend time with him in a way/place that is 'romantic' be it hiking on a mountain trail, walking along the beach, out at the zoo, etc and lets things happen by accident. I mean make it place you both like to go to and are comfortable there and relax and let things happen. If it is meant to be then it is meant to be.
I will say this that if and when you do tell him and if he says no then yes you will be hurt but you have to decide if you want to continue the friendship with him after that. I did and he is still one of my best Friends and always will be. I go to him for advice and he tells me what he thinks. I couldn't ask for a better friend. I wish the same for you which ever way it turns out. Good luck.

Keep the friendship going, sit back and keep watching...if you see things are moving forward, just tell him you have feelings that are a little stronger than friends...PLEASE don't tell him you LOVE him--...your friendship with him will definitely change...

don't ruin it. wait awhile and follow his lead. after a period of about 3 months or so if you 2 have gotten closer tell him your feelings. then you'll find out if he's on the same page as you.
