I understand that there are new shows like Grey's Anatomy, and House that have developed a following. I also understand that many of the original ER docs have left the show for greener pastures. But, having been a faithful fan of the show for many, many years, I can say with all honesty that it has not become boring or monotonous. In fact, the plotlines continue to become more and more breathtaking and captivating. Why have so many people lost their interest in this great show?

I think because people really get attached to some characters on a show and now that many of those characters have left the show it's just not the same.

I have also been a big fan of ER from the beginning. I have NOT lost interest, however, since I believe it was last season when they got the new set and changed the front desk area, I still am having a hard time adjusting to the new setting and I don't know why. I guess change is sometimes hard. I think last years and this year have been great so far, don't you agree?? I know Jerry was shot and I don't think he will come back even though he is supposedly healing, because he is the bartender on the new show Men in Trees. It is just Jerry behind a different counter and I have a hard time believing he is a bartender now.

I don't know. I stopped watching it when George Clooney left because he was the only reason I watched it in the first place. And, so far as I can tell, there are NO original characters left. The last original character was the guy who played John Carter, I think. The others came on the show later.

I haven't given up on it. I love the show. I don't watch it every week, but I keep up with what is going on. I think House is great and I love it. I hate Grey's Anatomy. I will never give up on ER.

nothing stays at the top forever. it's all a matter of freshness and intrigue. sure people have stayed loyal to ER but things and peoples interest change. its human nature. I'm sure whenver the new shows came on people migrated there just to see what was up and got wrapped in it. ER just has been on too long and it's time is coming.

I keep watching in hopes that it will have that spark that it used. The stories are getting boring and the show is just fading. Out I'm disappointed because it used to be one of my favorites but if I miss it now i don't really care because I feel like nothing happens anymore.

I haven't given up on ER. I've been watching it for about eight out of the 13 years. Maybe because of the change of cast from killing characters off or adding new ones or both.

Maybe its so uninteresting. I never did like watching that TV Show anyway. It looked so boring but the newer ones of today are way more interesting! (like House, my favorite TV Show)!!!
