I was just wondering why people hate the actor Skeet Ulrich? Family Guy and South Park have both mocked him, there may be no reason for this but i wasnt sure if he did something to upset people or if its maybe just an American thing?

When Scream came out he was labelled the next big thing and it didn't happen - the Johnny Depp comparisons didn't help there. People like to make fun of failure - it's schadenfreude.

He has been too home grown to Virginia. He has needed to have more exposure outside of Virginia. Also he family life with his first wife ended poorly and continues poorly because of her. He really needs a agent who will pump for him, and hopefully he will move on quickly but now he has attached to a new wife and as good as that can be, it can also be a distraction. I love the man dearly, and hope for all the best for him. He still has time to land a biggie. Go Skeet

Because he has been tagged as a poor man's Johnny Depp. I believe that someone that well known and someone who somewhat resembles him would be recognized and mocked amongst people who have heard this term. I believe Conan O'Brien said it. I'm pretty sure that's why.

wouldn't say they HATE him.....he's an american icon believe it or not. Everyone knows screech. it's more a poke or jab at him for his goofy character. just like carrot top or or that guy who smashed watermelons etc. could possibly be the "american" thing too. think hate is too strong a word here.

I don't think anyone hates him, who even knows him? Most people just think he's "that guy from Scream". maybe it's cos he played a priest in that stupid show about priests.
