Yes it is possible to be allergic to makeup! I am switching over to Burt's Bees cosmetics and cleansers. No harsh chemicals and leaves my skin clean and soft. I just ordered foundation from them so I do not know what it is like yet. Most cosmetics have chemicals that are absorbed into the skin but if you want to stay with a main stream line, try Almay. It is tested for sensitivities. I do not know if they do animal testing though.

Yes it is definitely possible to be allergic to make-up. Just to be safe always try a little bit of your new make-up on you hand. Wait a whole day and if your hand is not red from where the make-up was then most likely your not allergic.

Yes you can be. Try using Physican's Formula or Almay's makeup line. Some of my customers seem to have a talc allergy, which is in most makeup lines. However, Physician's Formula Mineral Wear line has no talc. I would suggest that you contact an allergist to pinpoint exactly what you are allergic to so you know what you can use and what to avoid.

Yes, definitely.

If you've had an allergic reaction, you should stop using it immediately and let your skin heal before putting on any other.

Of course it is!!

But different makes have different ingredients so you won't necessarily be allergic to all make-up - just certain brands!

Yes. Very possible. About 2% of the female population can't wear ANY makeup no matter how hypoallergenic it may be.
