There is a total of 37 indoor outlets and switches. The job is only to take off the old ones and rewire the new ones. I purchased the parts, and will put on the face plates myself. Just need the labor cost.

Probably just an hourly rate. Electrician could be anywhere from $60-$100 an hour. Shop around for the best deal.

Just go to the library and check out the Time Life book on electricity. It shows you all you need to know. Otherwise, electricians charge by the hour with a minimum fee of probably $150 - 200. The job should not take more than a couple of hours.

My husband is a low voltage electrician & could guide you through the process to do it yourself. It is so simple that our son learned when he was around 13 years old. He is at work, but I will bring this to his attention & have him contact you. Otherwise, if you do not want to do it yourself, you can find electricians that charge as little as 50$ per hour. It might take some time to do 37 switches, however, & doing it yourself could save you quite a bit of money. His answer should appear by tmorrow. Mrs. Commgy

If you live close to Eastman GA, I'll do it for you for $250 including faceplates. Have done this many times. No need to call an expensive pro electrician. Also, if you have the time and inclination, this is a very easy DIY job.

Do not call a large electrical company. Search for a journeyman electrician who works on his own. They are the cheapest for a simple job such as yours.

Labor is free...do it yourself...turn off the breaker's, get a pair of needlenosed pliers, and replace the black and white wires on the new switches and recepticles.. You need a screwdriver, of course..
