May i suggest you phone the number and ask if you can do that sounds as if you can't..

The Police ALSO have to comply with the Data Protection Act (I should know...as I'm a serving police officer!!).......The Police can get those details...only with authorisation of an Inspector or above...and only as part of an investigation.

You can't but the police can.. They access the phone company database (as they are not subject to DP act as law enforcement people) They can then trace the address of the bill for that phone...but hold on the mobile may mean they are out!!! hence the name mobile!

Phone the number and ask who is speaking please and what is your adress, ps the letter a is called a vowel so you should say an adress

You cant,only the police can and then if its for a criminal act,mobile companies wont give it out it comes under the data protection act !

You talk to someone who works in the mobile industry and get them to find out for you, yes its illegal but as long as you're subtle about it ;)
