Thanks!!! I am so glad someone finally said it. Morals are something they seem to find when it is politically advantageous to them. Otherwise T. Kennedy, R. Byrd , B. Frank, B. Clinton, W. Jefferson etc. would be gone.

Senator Byrd has long since distanced himself from his activities in the past and no longer has the same beliefs. He has grown, just as President Bush no longer behaves as an alcoholic. Both should be praised and encouraged for their moral and behavioral growth.

Did the Republicans ever try to expell Strom "pro-segregation eventhough I fathered an illegitimate black child" Thurmond? What about George "Macaca" Allen? Trent Lott?

So wait, if you're saying the Republicans had morals all along, then aren't you saying they agree with blatant racism, since all of the above examples were/are Republican senators who have faced no discipline from their own party for their racist actions?

Cry me a river. The GOP knew about Foley for five years and looked the other way. And whose the party that's supposedly the party of morals?
