By all means, I think a doctor visit is called for. Headaches are a real burden to live with (I get them a lot as well), and although they usually have a benign cause, there are still things you can look into toward avoiding/treating them. A nice chat with her doctor may be very informative for her!

I used to suffer like this probably about once a week when it was really bad. I went to the doctor and was prescriped some medicines for when i feel them coming on, but i went for my yearly check up at the opticians and i found out i needed glasses. Since then i havnt had any.

Yes, the headaches should be evaluated by a doctor. And a doctor may be able to offer treatment that would give her relief from these painful headaches. She is probably scared, so please offer her support and get her to a doctor....

Good Luck!!!

Definately she should go to a Neurologist to explain her case...she could be suffering from Migranes.
