General singular...is talking about a general topic that is singular, which means only one of them.

General plural is talking about a broad topic again, but there is MORE than one of them.

Possessive singular is when someone owns something, but only ones one of them.

And possessive plural is when someone owns more than one thing.

Singular-Only One
Plural- More than one.
Noun- Person, Place, or Thing.

Examples!

General singular: dog
General plural: dogs
Possessive Singular: my dog, or Amber's dog.
Possessive Plural: Their dogs, my dogs.

Hope I've helped you!
