I'm in Los Angeles and the local schools are closed for Yom Kippur but what about the Post Office?

the post office should be open. Not all school are closed.

they should be...the next time the post office closes for a holiday will be Columbus Day on Mon the 9th...after that...it will be Veteran's Day in November

Yes, I made all but three of my 547 deliveries. The other three were businesses owned by Jewish people celebrating the holiday.
