If you have to ask that question, you can't afford an investment banker.

The investment bank isn't going to charge you transaction fees for each trade -- they will negotiate a price for taking care of the deal.

If you are funding the deal by issuing bonds, there will also be fees for issuing the bonds.

In a case study I taught at Wharton, the fee that Wasserstein, Perella & Co charged Interco to do a restructuring was $5.5MM. This was for a billion dollar company.
