I know there is a lighthouse in california but where? I am really into lighthouses and would love to see one for real. I am going to be in california in feb '07.

In the Los Angeles, Big Sur, and San Francisco areas. Check on the Internet under CA lighthouses.

By far the best light house in CA is in Point Loma inside the historic Cabrillo National Monument. It is a great day trip with tide pools near by to check out and whale watching too. It is especially moving to see the military cemetary and watch the navy heading in after a tour at sea. When you are done head into Old Town for dinner or hit El Indio

In the area where I live there are 2 lighthouses. One is in a city called Pacific Grove which is near Monterey and the other is about 25 miles south called Point Sur. The one in Point Sur is open for tours but on a limited basis.

If you love lighthouses, come to Michigan. Michigan has 130 lighthouses, more than any other state.

Firstn things first type up lighthouse in that area of the united states,look up it's hitsory,and significance,or to cut to chase look up it address,over the internet if you know the name.
Then go to map quest that can give the direction of any were in the USA.eg; type in your personal address then the destination zip # and name of were ever it's located. www.mapquest.com
