you most likely have to break the gasket seal round the pan. it may be sealed on there pretty well

Spindle holds the wheel bearings to the steering knuckle. A little more info please. Year Make Model miles engine size type. Most everything thru the oil pan is gasketed or O ring sealed. Or do you mean front crankshaft pulley you removed the pulley bolts and the harmonic balance will not pull off because you need a puller rent one at Auto Parts store. But I would suggest first oil leaks out of the crank not water look about four inches higher at the water pump it might be leaking down and coolant is slinging off of the crank pulleys, Terminology is everything working on cars.

Are you saying that you have water leaking out of the boot on your cv axle? Does it have a black rubber boot around it? Does it go from the pan to the wheel? If the answers are yes, then that's your cv axle and it's going into your transmission housing.

You may need to be a little more specific. I.E. what spindle? what model vehicle? Transmission oil pan? Engine oil pan?

I think you better take it to a mechanic before you do more damage.
