its like a chip that has your number and without it you can't call anyone. i would like to know the name of it and the price.

It's called a SIM chip...it stores all the numbers as well. They usually run about $35; I work for Sprint Nextel.

If you're referring to the old burnable nam's, those phones are very old and belong in a museum somewhere. If you're asking about a sim chip for the new GSM network you can get one with your phone when you sign a contract with your service provider.
