Puberty and Periods
When girls begin to go through puberty (usually starting between the ages of 8 and 13), their bodies and minds change in many ways.
The hormones in their bodies stimulate new physical development, such as growth and breast development. About 2 to 2 1/2 years after a girl's breasts begin to develop, she usually gets her first menstrual period.
About 6 months or so before getting her first period, a girl might notice an increased amount of clear vaginal discharge. This discharge is common. There's no need for a girl to worry about discharge unless it has a strong odor or causes itchiness
Many girls and guys don't have a complete understanding of a woman's reproductive system or what actually happens during the menstrual cycle, making the process seem even more mysterious. I hope i helped you answer your question.

Women are very sensitive around the time of the month...cranky, depressed, irritable etc...all because of hormon levels. Menstruation is uncomfortable 1 week before and the woman can have cramps, back pain, bloating from water retention, headaches, etc. The idea is to just hold her, make her feel relaxed and if she is mature enough, she will say what she feels and not have u guess...she can take Ibuprofen to ease the pain. Midol is good.
Chocolate too helps ease the cramps...But REAL chocolate.U could pamper her with that or with a soft massage to ease the tension. Don't try to make love in that moment, unless she gives u the sign that its ok. Most women just want to be held and caressed.

lol well at least you are trying
OK when a girl is on her period its cus there is an egg that attaches on to the thin skin in her ovaries. and if she doesn't get pregnant then that skin slowly comes off and that's why a girl bleeds
it last about a week and through that time some women get symptoms like they gain weight (but its just water) , have cramps (some women can get them so bad that the pain shoots up there spine and they cant walk for a couple days), headaches, backaches, and our bodies get very tired trying to keep it all together
but there are some ways to help
ex cerise is a huge way to lessen the pain and if you drink lots of water it will help to flush out all the toxins in our bodies
and the biggest one is to have a boyfriend take care of you and be kind to you that one helps a lot

I don't understand why people think periods are suck tabu. It's a fact of life and it is the reason of life. The normal cycle is 26-28 days for most women. It can last for 3, 5, 7 days. We get moody and tired easily. If she got mad, apologize to her and ask her to explain her cycle to you so you are aware. If she won't that's her issue, not yours.

Well you need to know when she is on hers. I havent started yet but she will get VERY MOODY twards anything you do or anywere you tough her. They come every 28 days. There there 28 then gone 28 there 28 then gone 28. So on and so fourth. That is about it. OH... and if she ever asks you to go buy her pads or tampons DO IT! It takes a real man to be brave for his girlfriend and she will appreciate it so much!!!!! Well Good Luck!

Ask your girlfriend. She might find it nice that you are willing to take interest in what she goes through.
