an ant on a picnic table travels 30 cm eastward, then 25cm northward, and finally 15cm westward. what is the ant's directional displacement relative to its original position?.....

This is a geometry question, not a physics question. It can be solved easily using the Pythagorean method.

displacement = sqrt((30 - 15)^2 + 25^2) = 29.15cm northeast of his original position
