i would set this up this way...

a-.11a-.23a=32600
a-.34a=32600
.66a=32600
a=32600/.66
a=49393.94

Fed taxes=11360.61
state taxes=5433.33
total taxes=16793.94


49393.94-16793.94=32600 bring home

You take 32,600 and times it by 23% and you get 7,498

You take 32,600 and times it by 11% and you get 3,586

You add 7,498 and 3,586 to 32,600 and there is your answer :)

x(1-.23-.11)=32,600
x(.66)=32,600
