it says 1-2 players on the back of the case so it must be 2player but every time i putt the cd in n dont have a menu or ne thing just takes you strait to the last saved game?

You can only do is on the console version during drive-bys. On the PC you can mod it.

I know that on ps2:
Look for the little red icons of two people holding hands.There are many locations dotted all over the map. They are:
Outside any girlfriends house, when they are in.
In Los Santos area:
Head west from teh Johnson house, and cross the railway line. As soon as you pass under the bridge, turn right next to a weird building. Park on the drive, and go through the archway to the right. The little people icon will be there
Head to Dillimore from Los Santos, and look for the 'general store'. I can't remember the exact location, but there is an icon next to the general store
there is a rampage in Pershing Square, LS. In the dead centre of the square, there is a little skull icon.
In the San Fierro area:
Head west from your garage, until you pass the construction site, and you see a car park. The icon is near a vending machine in the car park.
In the Las Venturas area:
On the motorway that heads over the gant bridge, take the bayside tunnels exit (You may need to drive on the wrong side of the road). Carry on up that road, until you come to El Quebrados. Take the first right, then first left, then first right. Around the corner there should be an icon near a little shop. (Alternate directions: Head west from the barber shop)
Off the strip, head to the Royale Casino (Where Madd Dogg tried to jump off.) Around the northern side, there should be a covered alley (Still part of the casino). There should be an icon there.
To activate the icons, if it doesn't say, press any button on the second controller . You choose the second player

During the game you may find an icon that you can walk over and 2nd controller can push start on. The icon is red and looks like the two player icon you would find on most old arcade machines (two 'male' figures overlapping each other) . You must find these icons in order to play two player. The first icon I can tell you is near Big smokes house in the little complex with the chainlink fence. I have to warn you though.
The two player mode is extemely limited. Let me break it down for you:
-No split screen (distance limit on same screen)
-Only 1 car or plane may be driven at a time (share vehicles)
-Both playes may drive a boat at the same time
-Cannot go on 1 player missions together.

You have to have a girlfriend to play two playa like for example in Los Santos Denise is your girlfriend (if you've gotten dat far).So you go to her house and there will be a redish icon by here door, step into that and it will take you into two playa.
THIS IS FOR SURE TO WORK I'M 13 SO I'VE PLAYED THAT GAME FORWARD AND BACKWARD DURING THE SUMMER TIME
