I went to a new restaurant in my town yesterday. It is a bar/pub type restaurant. They have the ability to open the windows and the windows have screens on them. We have had cold, and then very warm weather recently. I am thinking they must have had either their windows or doors open b/c when I went in there yesterday, the inside of the restaurant just had flies everywhere. It was practically an infestation. The servers just seemed to ignore it. What would you have done? I finished my drink and left without ordering food b/c I lost my appetite very quickly. What was the correct course of action?

Not only heck no.....but HELL NO! If you will watch your local papers...the will be a health inspectors report on restaurants periodically. If a restaurant has sever flies...just imagine what they have in their kitchens. I had a favorite chinese restaurant that I ate at frequently...until I read the inspectors report and found out that they had 62 health which included live rats in the cooler, cooks preparing food without washing their hands after using the restroom and mouse turds in the shrimp. Needless to say..I dont eat there anymore. People can get very sick from food poisoning. Most bigger cities have a website on the "City website" and they will let you access all the restaurants health inspections and violations...you might want to check this out before heading out....you hardly ever get to see what is going on behind those kitchen doors and you might be surprised on what you are really getting.

I am thinking that if you did not feel comfortable eating there then you were right. My concern would be where the flies had hatched from - ie: a dead rat or........
I would not have ordered food either and I live in the tropics where there are a lot of flies. However, not in eating places which are all open air.
I guess the only other thing you might have done was tell - you still could - the management why you were not ordering. If they do not know they can not correct the situation.

What you did is perfectly wise decision. Otherwise you could have lost money, time and even health not just the appetite as your main reaction. Can you imagine how will you eat with the food that flies tastes first and lay eggs with? Flies buzzing around and landing to any part of your body? So disgusting, it could have lost your temper as well . I wonder how others tolerate them, it is just a matter of getting used with flies around to have banquet with them I suggest. No way to get used to flies, would you?

definitely leave an establishment like that. i'm surprised you stayed that long to get a drink. but flies and other insects in a restaurant are just bad news. it could mean the food handlers aren't handling the food properly, the food isn't stored right and is rotting, or something else.
you should report the place to the local health inspector. they'll either give it a violation and tell them to clean up their act or close it down.

both the death individual and those present day in the room are waiting for her to take her very last breath at any second. At such an in the different case momentous time, a paltry fly through wonder seems and starts humming around the room. The irony lies of their expectation that, in those very last moments of existence, there might want to seem a divine "King" from the previous. fairly, only a measly previous fly dominates the scene as she attracts her very last breath.

I would have left too. This has happened to me before when I was on vacation. That is very unsanitary and if I had lived in that town, I would have called the Health Department there.

Good Choice. Flies Spread Disease. If possible I would send them e-mail and call to let them know they lost a customer.

I wouldn't eat at a place that had tons of flies - that is just nasty. You did the right thing by walking out.
