Okay this is totally weird! I got in my car to go to work this morning, and I'm driving, nothing out of the ordinary right? Then I turn on my left signal light and it's going like 5x faster than normal, and the right side is blinking regular. I've had the car for a year now, I only had 7 miles when I got it, is there something I could have done, or do you think it's just an electrical problem? Keep in mind, the right one is perfectly fine! I have a 2005 2door Hatchback Ford Focus ZX3.....( You like how I make it sound all like a cool car....lol j/k)
What do you think people!?

Actually one of your light bulbs has blown , you should check the light bulbs on the left side. If the front signal light is the one blinking fast then your rear taillight bulb is broken. It very easy to do just make sure you look at the light bulb # and take it to an autoparts store and buy a new one.

Get outside car and check your turn signal lights on both ends, you will probably find out that one of your bulbs is burned out (or has a bad connection in socket! The different resistance of circuit (2 bulbs have less resistance than one), -will make the blinker unit run at a different speed. There is also a chance that you have somehow gotten a short in the left side circuit somewhere,-in which case neither bulb,-(on either end) would be blinking! Also don't worry about shorted circuits in wiring, - untill you have checked the bulbs individually (if non blinking bulb now lights on other end of car, the short was the bulb you have out-, or within the bulb you have out) !

Don't let anybody BS you about the brand or model, electricity is the same no matter what you are using it in!

One of the turn signal bulbs has burned out.
Turn on the 4-way flashers, and walk around the car to see which one it is, then replace it.
The flasher is designed to function under a certain load; when that load is out of range (one bulb burned out) the flasher will get "really nervous", the way of telling the driver there is a problem, because it is rare for the driver to be able to actually see the lights on the outside of the car, as (s)he is in the driver's seat during normal operation.

Good Luck

You have a turn signal bulb burned out. The way the circuit is designed, the relay cycles faster with a bulb burned out to let you know you have a burned out bulb (or possibly another problem). You can turn on the left side turn signals with the key on and check them to see which one needs to be replaced.

Maybe one blinks faster than the other so that you'll be able to ditinguish which way you are signaling without having to look down to the dash board. Usually when your bulb is burnt out the signal light will not blink, instead it will remain lit. If its a major concern take it back to the dealer maybe it is still under warranty.

Your light bulb needs to be changed. Good luck with that car I just got rid if mine I had TUNS of problems! Mine had 3 miles on it when I bought it and 26,000 when I go rid of it and I replaced the transmission - motor mounts - water pump - valve head gasket - and a couple more things. As I said good luck!

it sounds to me like you may have a bulb blown out. check all the bulbs on the side that is fast and see that all bulbs function as they are supposed to, ie turn signals, brake lights, parking lights. this should be your problem.

One of your right side turn signals is out. Check the front and rear bulbs on that side.

Your blinker is out. You need to replace the bulb. Run to Wal-Mart, look up what type of bulb you need on the computer-dilly thing in the aisle, and pop it on in. Piece o cake.
